#9 Daymaniyat Islands, Oman
Muscat, Oman’s capital city, has some incredible coral reefs on its coastline. The Daymaniyat Islands northwest of the city harbor some of the best. Known as the “jewels of the crown”, there are a total of nine islands, all of which are uninhabited and located in a marine nature reserve. The reef, which features some unbelievably beautiful coral species, range from a depth of about 5 m (16.4 ft) to 30 m (98.4 ft) where there are turtles, rays and a myriad of gorgeously colorful tropical fish constantly on the move. Permits are required for snorkeling, swimming and diving.
