Leopards do kill humans, but not often. Their reason for killing is usually because they are either threatened by something, or for reasons of survival, because they need food. For instance in India, where reports state at least 15 people are killed by leopards every year, a study of man-eating leopards found that it was mostly traumatized animals being relocated, and animals that had no other source of food, that attacked human beings. Of course because leopards are wild animals, if humans get too close to them they instinctively feel this might endanger their lives and they could be killed. They might look sweet, but these amazing animals are potential killers.
